Greetings everyone!

I was curious if anyone has their front license plate mounted yet. My sister's 2020 EXP seems to be down low tucked away but I was looking at the license plate holder that came with my 2022 and it seems to be up higher, (I could be wrong) Thanks in advance!

Oh that looks awesome. I dont know why I had it in my head that the plate holder was higher. Did you have the dealer install it? I have OCD and dont wanna be in charge of making sure it's centered.

Yes, it was dealer installed.

On my 2019, there were little dimples where the holes needed to be drilled. This made it easy to get it centered and in the correct location.

Ah man. The dealer mounted mine right below the radiator on my Timberline. So now when the front cam activates, I can see part of the bracket. Took it off and I don't like the holes nor do I want to plug them; I'll just leave it. But the pics of it mounted lower is obviously the best location. Cool threadtruck.jpg

It looks like the skid plate on the Timberline prohibits mounting the front plate in the lower position.

I've seen people use something like this to plug the holes if you end up wanting to move it. Pretty sure they're color matched too. https://www.licenseplateplugs.com/

The Timberlines are meant to be mounted up high. The grooves on the back match the top (like JakeInTexas showed) and are not a perfect fit on the bottom (like rallyhard showed).

The reason I know this is because mine came uninstalled and I did it myself. I had no clue where it went at first, but then noticed the contour of the plate mount bracket. It is supposed to go up high. Also, it is clear of the skid plate. The first time you go off road and hit something, that plate will get ripped off.

Can someone post a pic of the infotainment screen showing how much of the front camera gets blocked when the license plate is mounted in the proper/higher position? I like the look of it higher up and am considering making the dealer relocate it, but don't want to be looking at it on the screen.

How would it block the camera? Are you putting the plate just under the Ford emblem? I don’t see how it would catch the plate unless closer but maybe I’m missing something.

I'm just going off of what JakeInTexas said in post #11; "So now when the front cam activates, I can see part of the bracket". If it's not really blocking the view of anything, I'll probably go ahead and have my plate moved up to where it should be.

On that subject, does anyone know if that silver lower bumper cover piece is a separate part, or if I would have to get a whole new bumper cover in order to not have holes showing where the license plate cover was erroneously installed, as well as having to have it painted to match the rig?
