Still getting the creak that I thought had gone away and i reread your original post, my noise is the exact same symptoms like the loud bang over bumps and slow speed creaking but other than that it drives like a gem. If you think it's the cvs then I'm gonna replace them and the actuators because that's what I was thinking it could be too.. Might wait a little longer so I can save and do the heavy duty brake kit and wheel bearings too so I have an almost all brand new front end like you do... Despite my only having 130k miles it looks like and has the wear up front that a 240k truck would have lol

I have been on numerous business trips so I have not had a chance to replace my CVS (which I will do 242k original miles) my creaking went away on its own but Im not sure when I just noticed it was gone. Could have been after driving some miles or I researched and found a real good 4 wheel alignment shop(the first alignment shop just did not seem right) regarding the bang sound I still have a few items to replace. Front I need to replace lower inner control arm bushings and the sway bar bushings (ends were replaced. Rear upper and lower control arm bushings plus knuckles and sway bar bushing. After that all done. Then I will re-tighten to be sure. If that does not fix the banging sound then I thing it may just be the way the upper control arms unload, being where they connect at the top strut mount they almost fully extend. unfortunately I have found no after market longer arms for our trucks.

Yes I do. It has gotten better with miles but I feel its the CVS. Hoping it will go away with new CVs. But as the creak went away the vibration lessened.

Hmm ok... I imagine you will get the CVs done before me so be sure to try and post on here if that cures it!

I just got my Expedition and wondering if I should replace Transfer case oil. Will it destroy it? or not.
