spindle lift and coil spacers. idk how much spindle lifts are but the coil spacers are about $75. a body like is like $200 for the lift and $500 for a shop to do it.

This is the kit that I am looking to go with

http://www.fabtechmotorsports.com/products/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=343&display=FORD

It is a 3.5" spindle system and if you have the rear air ride you can still keep it with this kit ( I have also seen the same kit but for rear coils).

This kit will allow you to clear 33"x11.5" or a 285/70/17 tires without needing any additional body lift.

Price

http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/fd2_Expedition.htm (This site also has other lifts and sizes for the '97-'08 Expedition)

97-02 2WD Ford Expedition lift kits -- Shocks included

3.5" Performance lift kit with rear coil spring suspension F243 $1,172

3.5" Performance lift kit with factory rear air bag system K2071 $987.55

3.5" Spindles only FTS97159-7 $587

on f150online.com their is a 2wd expy that used a 6" F150 fabtech front spindle lift and a 6" fabtech coil for a 4wd expy and got 6" of suspension and then can still add a BL too.

you don't NEED any lift to clear 33s (285-75-16) as evidenced by my truck. Running board delete, and a little trimming on the front valence.

That being said, after I get my re-gear done (4.56) and a 3" lift 35s are in my future!!

This is EXACTLY how I want my 97 to look.

If you have the time, please PM the mod list and if there was anything you would've done differently to make it all work easier. I need to keep the running boards though.

that might be true for the 4wds. the 2wds are lower then 4wds stock. i think once he lifts his 2wd then 33s would fit.

Exactly you would have to run the 3.5" spindle lift on the 2wd or you will not clear 33s. On the 4wd you can clear 33s with out a problem with no lift but not on the 2wd because they sit quite a bit lower.

my guess looks like a 5" RCD suspension lift running about a 35" tire....

also looks bigger due to the front valance being removed...

they look like 34s or 35s. i would say 35s. to get that you would want the 5" lift that rcd has. walnuts posted a thread somewhere about it. they sell the kits at ORW.
