If I were to have my Expy lifted, where can I find the cheapest kits? I dont wanna do anything crazy just maybe a 2/3 in lift.

Is it best to do a body or suspension lift or both? Also my 98 is not 4x4 does that matter in the kit I would buy? Im sure it does..lol

Best bet for you is either a body lift or spring spacers. Usually suspension lifts are 4x4, and always a lot more expensive. If you just want a little bit of lift, some spacers or a body lift will do great. Either option can be found on ebay or places like Rocky Mountain Suspension, these two options shouldn't break the bank either.

98EXeb, lets start with what you are wanting to spend and then we will go from there. As the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for". They do make kits out there that you can have a lot of fun with, but at the same time, it can get expensive too. For example, you could do a 10" lift for your truck by getting a 3" body lift, the front half lift for an F-150 2WD truck and then getting the rear portion lift from either a Rancho 4" kit or a Fabtech 6" lift (both lift the rear of the truck about the same amount). that would let you run 37's on your truck. Granted, you are also looking at about $2000 in lift alone.

If you are only after say 3", then I would go with a body lift and call it good. That will allow you to run up to 33" tires. Going any more than that and you will be spending some serious money.

I always think that it's important to have an idea of what you would like the final product to look like. Doing this keeps you from wasting time an money going off on tangents. For example if you think that you will eventually want to run 37 in tires, then you're best to start with a body lift for the time being and then add the suspension lift later.

Make a plan and then figure out the most logical way to get there.

I know I just want a 3" lift nothing more.
