Anyone out there have (or know of someone who has) a factory subwoofer for a 2005 Ford Expedition Limited that they would be willing to sell?

The subwoofer on my Expedition shorted out and needs to be replaced. I'm not interested in any after market sub-woofers. Ideally, I would be able to find a factory subwoofer that someone has in extra supply due to them replacing with a higher end after market subwoofer.

I live in Los Angeles, CA.

Thanks in advance for any replies to this post!!

Check local junk yard/auto scrap yard... There's a big one in Oceanside, CA that you could call up. Other than that idk.

Why dont you want an aftermarkert one? :pepper:

crutchfield.com will have a stock replacement as far as size goes. I believe the stock one is a paper sub, you would be much better off to just use an aftermarket. It would not be any louder than what you had.

But if you want a factory sub I would go to a dealer.

Thanks for your responses. I'm looking for a stock factory sub-woofer to simply replace the broken one I have. To purchase from the dealer would cost me a few hundred dollars. I was hoping that someone in this forum would have upgraded their Expedition to a better/more powerful after market subwoofer and would be looking to unload the old factory Ford subwoofer.

For the recommendation on Crutchfield.com, what low cost options would you recommend for a replacement? Wasn't able to find the "paper sub" that you referenced. If you could provide a link to a specific product, I would appreciate it.

Thanks again for your help.

I would say to call crutchfield, they are really useful in picking a sub. paper subs are cheaper, they have a few 8" on their site. I would pick a better sub, give them a call tell them what you want. Under a hundred for the speaker would be a decent speaker.
