Lost Idle, not cold starting

I have a 2001, it will not cold start without holding the throttle down or hold an idle above 400 RPM, does this 5.4 have a throttle positioning sensor? Any help?

It does sound like a bad TPS. It's on the side of the TB.

It could also be your idle air control IAC too. to check it tap it with a hammer while it is idleing slow- if it is stuck many times this will free it temporarily. if that fixes it then start looking for a new IAC and it is usually a good idea to clean the throttle body plate and bore at the same time[ use t/b cleaner and a old tooth brush]
