Had my 2017 expedition el limited serviced in august......lof....new battery...new plugs and trans service.....since then I have experienced a powertrain failure 4 times..big golden wrench on the dash....no check enginelight....just the wrench..1st time the code said low voltage....next 3 times no code was set....the dealership has had the truck for a month driving it randomly to reproduce the issue....hasn't happened for them.....anybody else experience this issue or have any suggestions as to the cause so I can get my truck back and drive it without fear of another powertrain failure

Did you run an ODBII code reader on it before you took it in and if so did you see any codes? Just because there is no check engine light, does not mean no codes.

This sounds like something I experienced a year ago. The Throttle Body had started to fail and the engine would just go to idle, leaving me on the side of the road or worse in the middle lane of 70 mph traffic. It would quickly flash a message but not set the check engine light. Turned it off, waited a few minutes and it would start up and drive off like nothing happened.

When I checked the codes it was P2112 which is very very common for 2015-2017 trucks.

I would get their quote to repair and take it to an independent shop for a second opinion.
