I was willing to go to a platinum build if carmelo color would look like their ad picture which is really nice (brownish), but I have contacted Ford customer service and they confirmed that the real color is shown on ford website build page and is yellowish, so disappointing...
I think you were misinformed.

I have always had the black interior and have always wanted to get something more interesting. The dealer advised me that the caramelo shows scuff marks easily and will wear faster. I was contemplating a limited with mahagony, but it looked like eggplant in pics. I ended up not taking any chances and going with tried and true black on black in a platinum.

I had this on my 2016 platinum. Truck was white. I would highly advise having the seats and trim cleaned with steam cleaner and treated with a leather conditioner 3-4 times a year or it will discolor very quickly.
This was my trucks passenger seat after 2 years (pardon the food) and all I ever used a conditioner called leather milk. I drove this truck everyday even after I had gotten a 16 and after I had gotten a 17 as well. Never had to steam clean. I wonder why yours was fading. Was it just the driver seat or all the seats?

I steamed them after receiving truck from the dealer. It was a demo so it had been driven for about 1500 miles by someone at dealership. They said they had “treated” the surface already but wouldn’t tell me with what. The Color didn’t look right compared to the 2nd and 3rd rows. The amount of stuff I was able to remove was pretty gross and it immediately looked like the other two rows. I used meguiars leather conditioner 3-4 times a rear as needed to bring back that new leather look. I’m just saying if you don’t take care of it, it will fade and discolor pretty quickly

I can almost guarantee that you will be 100% satisfied when you see the color in person! I’m jealous they aren’t do that on the Platinums! Not that there is anything wrong with limited models, but I’m on a 15-16 Platinum model streak I just don’t want to break it. Im ashamed of my obsession. I’m a creature of habit that I cycle between the same 3 colors!

Tell me about it. At one point I owned a 2016 platinum EL tri coat white and the current 2016 limited in shadow black. I love 2015-2017s!!!

I wonder whether this is some preproduction vehicle or what. The armrest strip is carmello, and not the seat color. This should be a platinum which has the Carmello seat option but the trim about the seat buttons should be chrome lined in a platinum...

Purely hear say. But according to the original poster of the photos on Facebook that was on a dealer lot. As much as I want my Expedition built. I don’t want the
first 3000 from the first run. It’s only human to make mistakes when learning.

I think I got an early ‘18 build and that’s part of the reason I’ve had so many issues. This time around I wont be so close to the beginning of the building!
