The reason I was asking for advise on this vehicle was I'm not as familiar with the expedition vs explorer/f150. I wasn't sure if there was any hidden things that were useless and could be pulled. I think I've already got almost everything I can get without going to extreme measures. I'm being a bit of a penny pincher for the time being as I already have a car payment on a new car among many other bills and I'm the only source of income of the house at the moment and anyone who has served, knows military doesn't pay exactly that well(currently E5 in the navy).

Oh and I don't mind people questioning my thoughts and what I do.... Some things just make sense in my mind I guess, I'm also terrible at explaining what's going on in my head and why I want to do certain things. Lmao

I'm just glad I can finally take a break from a friends electrical nightmare aka 02 Chevy venture. Damned thing has been stuck in my driveway the past week not wanting to start. I am bound and determined to keep it away from the stealership unless I find its the computer that crapped. Like I said previously, I've got half a million projects at the moment and that thing is my worst nightmare.

Yeah had and 88 f150 that I reworded front to back top to bottom. That I will do any day but tracing down fried wires and figuring out where they go and making sure they are correct ga.etc. etc. I just want this thing out of my driveway, just don't want to screw my friend over by allowing the stealership to dick him over(he is the least mechanically inclined person I have ever met)

It won't crank unless I do it manually at the starter, gas was at 3/4 when he got here now reads empty(which it has fuel in it as the tank almost crushed me when I thought the float failed and was going to lower the tank), the PRND21 part doesn't light up anymore, no blown fuses, all relays are good. I'm leaning towards ecu but I want to go through everything else first.

If main computer fried it usually will shoot out a bunch of dtc codes. Hook up a scanner to the data port and see. You need to fix the ignition switch and check for spark to plugs. After that make sure fuels getting up front. That's your basic auto 101!

I knew I forgot to mention something. The obd port has power but won't communicate. Ignition switch is new, new neutral safety switch(also verified its aligned correctly), and new starter relay.

Might have fried computer due to fried wires. If all the wires are repaired and correct. Take a chance on junkyard or eBay computer. Make sure numbers on Ecu match.

Local junk yard has two ventures in it. Haven't looked at the computers yet. I will have a look on Monday when everyone is at work. Gotta talk to my buddy first though and see if he's willing to dump more money into this thing.
