Mass Air Sensor ??

I have a 99..5.4 with a problem with stumbling and no power at heavy to semi-heavy accel. It runs fine while jujst putting around and not getting on the gas at all. But once you try to get it to get up and go a bit......nothing, and then it starts missing and skipping, and sputtering. seems like it's fuel starved, but the filter is fairly new.

I took off the air intake where the filter is to expose the MAS, and started it up. I could blow on the sensor and it the engine would die!! I thought this was strange and not right. Anyone have any experience like this, and any ideas on the fix.

I see this post generated zero interests or maybe this forum is SLOW today. FYI it was a fuel filter......much chaeaper than the MAS.

Glad you found the issue.
I was planning on blowing on my mass air sensor in the morning to see what happens.

gas filter

i gotta do my gas filter...never did it since ive owned truck...2 yrs....who knows when it was changed last...shame on me.
