My battery is getting weak, I am planning to replace it in a week or so.
Do the memory savers that plug into the cigarette lighter with a 9 volt
battery, do they really work well? Or should I get the one that plugs into
the OBD-II port, that is my question folks.

I haven’t had to use one but they are pretty popular devices when u have to disconnect the battery. Several types are made, connect to lighter socket, OBD port and to Sync. The one I would buy is the type that hooks to your battery cables under the hood. Supplies power to your Expy while your battery is disconnected....

I have a lithium Ion jump start battery with over size alligator clips
that I can hook up to the cables. That should work OK to start with.
