Message Center in non message center Expedition is it possible?

As the title says, I am curious if this is possible? I have a 2003 Expedition XLT and noticed while installing a aftermarket stereo that the plug insert had a wired connector to it. I was curious what parts it would take or even if it is possible to ad this feature if it was not equipped from the factory like that. Any help from the group would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this site and this is my first post. Thanks again in advance.

Before I bought my 05 Expy I was looking at a 03 but hated the instrument cluster. I asked around if I could change it out with a 05-06 cluster with the message center. But was told from a ford tech no, it is not compatible. So that was a deal breaker.
