Amen,

I have drilled out to many exhaust studs, and spark plugs on the 3v. I have replaced 2 engines on the 4.0 sohc b/c of shit timing chane design.

Ford had always have the truck, but there engines are the weak point.

It is probably designed to fail at a certain point to keep the economy going.

I will not be buying ford again.
My last.

Week 13 update

To stop the rattle on start up:
-VCT solenoids replaced (never heard the cam phaser noise, but they said this was the issue behind the rattle)
-Catalytic replaced (due to them stating that this was the source of the rattle)
-Driver side Turbo replaced (turbo was last item and finally resolved most of the noise)

Sunroof brackets replaced
center console trim replaced (chrome peeled up)
Transfer case reprogramed to stop grinding under acceleration
mirrors reprogrammed and info center reprogrammed
TSB performed for liftgate

Easy way to find out.

Rev it up, it rattles. unplug the electrical connector to the wastegate.

If rattle goes away you have your answer.
I unplugged the waste gate electrical connector and it still rattled? turbo was finally replaced thou after the VCT and catalytic

What is this grinding In the transfer case? Can you provide more information on the issue?
