I have searched here and You Tube and cannot find any guidance on removing and replacing the turn signal lights that are in my mirrors.
Can anyone provide some guidance? Is it a difficult project? Some of the later models look like they could be troublesome with broken mirrors etc.

07-17 are LED, same part number. Seems like there are about 6-8 on each side.

Do you have a couple individual LEDs out, or is the entire thing not working? If its the entire bank, then I suspect your issue could be elsewhere. Have they ever worked? XLT? Both sides? Original mirrors or used truck?

The part number is 7L1Z-13B375-A - if you put that into Google images you'll see a couple different views of it, which might offer some insight as to how the assembly is held in place.

I have a 2017 XLT and would love to have these on my Expy. Does anyone know if they are plug and play? Or do the existing side mirrors need to be pre-wired for the turn signals? Has anyone on here ever done this? Thanks!

My passenger side signal has a few bulbs out. My XLT didn’t even have mirror signals, I’m not going to bother fixing this one lol.

I just did this this past week. They clipped right in, no modifications required at all.

How big is the opening of the new mirror where the wire comes out at the mounting base??
Would one be able to use a pickle picker to pull wires from inside or is the opening sealed pretty good?
I’d like to add amber clearance lights to the edge but not sure I want to pop the housing apart to feed wires.

I would think that may be a bit of a pain, I think it was sealed up pretty well, but I didn’t pay that close of attention to it.

What the heck is a pickle picker? Sounds like slang for your urologists probe tool, when you got the clap in Vegas!

I got one of those in my tool box. Next time I need to pull out a Bubbies pickle from the jar when I make my 2:00 Am snack, I'll have to remember it. I'll have to clean the grease off it before I plunk the pickle on the Roast beef and bagel. Back in my teens, my buddies and I would wolf down a hard roll sandwich with grease all over it from my hands working on the Triumph, or Yamaha on Friday night. My how times change!

Grave digging this thread!

Can anyone confirm whether the XL trim has the wire harness for the mirror turn signals? I know they have the wire harness for the heated/power mirrors. I installed turn signal mirrors onto my 2012 XL. The pins/clip were identical. however, no turn signals on either mirror when using the signal. Not sure if this is a forscan issue or if I will need to manually wire in the mirror turn signals. Any ideas?
