I also need to find a trailer tow solution - so if anyone out there discovers something let us all know, meanwhile I am going to attempt to use the strap ons that I currenty have from my old Astro Van, however with the signal light on the bottom of the stock mirror the clips are going to be fun, probably have to modify them with a new metal clip? No ideas, I'll be figuring out something when the weather turns. Sure would be nice to find an extandable power mirror

there are no tow mirrors for an expy... or 97-03 supercrew... same mirror... but I am looking into a set of 2010 mirrors from a 250 to see what I can try... otherwise gonna really fab up some older 250 mirrors.... I've seen it done on a reg cab 150 so when I have time I am gonna do something I want bigger mirrors...lol

Another update:

Yesterday afternoon, I was able to find a Ford parts retailer that was kind enough to pull a mirror from a F-150 and an Expedition off his shelf. We compared the mirrors' mounting "points" and realized the mirrors are WAY different!

It would take some serious fabrication and modification to use the F-150 mirrors on an Expedition.

Hopefully for 2012, Ford will offer a towing mirror option for the Expedition.

Until then I will be using Reese towing mirrors attached to the factory Expedition mirrors when pulling my trailer.

Nuts, have you made any progress on the mirrors?? I am thinking of trying to find a cheap pair in the next few weeks. After driving a truck with bigger mirrors for the last few weeks, the expy mirrors look tiny! Hopefully I will be able to make progress with this.

I'm gonna go with a set of 2nd gen expy mirrors with the amber turn signals... they are a little bigger than our mirrors... but gonna take some time to rewire them so they all work... but I saw a plain set of 2nd gen mirrors on a 1st while on vacation and it looked good

That will look good. I have plenty of time on my hands to work on little things, but am waiting to get paid to buy these little things. . .

Good luck with the interview. I hope I can find a job out of school next year. Nothing worse than going to school for how many years to not get what you did all that work for, but got to find something to hold a guy over for a bit.
