Wondering if anyone's had any issues of multiple misfires? I've got 2005 expedition, The truck had no prior issues until yesterday when i went to start it. When I started it it began to idle rough, as I drove it it lost power and sounded to sputter. I pulled over , I could smell a strong odor of gas from the tailpipe with white smoke billowing out. I was able to drive it a local auto shop where they were able to identify the misfires. Unfortunately they didnt want to go any further because the spark plug history associated with these trucks. So, I ended up dropping it off at the ford dealership. Has anyone have experience with this? I understand misfires are somewhat common but I thought they usually have a bit of prewarning. Just trying to get prepared before speaking to the dealership tomorrow.

I just dealt with the same issue. I had two fuel injectors stuck open and one stuck close. The ones stuck open made me smell gas inside the truck through the vents when I had them blowing air out. They are under warranty till 110,000 miles. So if you have less than that it will cost you nothing.

Got the news yesterday. It was apparently a fuel injector that was stuck open and ultimately drowning the plug, hence the misfire. Ford is going to change out the bad fuel injector and plug. I didn't know about the 110,000 mile warranty on the injectors, appreciate the heads up! The truck is only got 140, 000 kilometers on it. Going to pick up today.
