Makes sense. Less plastic in the engine bay allows for more air flow and cooler temps. I’ve been removing engine covers and any unnecessary plastic in the engine bay on all vehicles I’ve owned after their bumper to bumper warranty has expired.It’s been documented on the F150 forums that intake temps drop approximately 5 degrees with the cover removed. No need to have it and it helps lower the temp of the intake charge air…
