Missing Engine Cover on 2021 Expedition

It’s been documented on the F150 forums that intake temps drop approximately 5 degrees with the cover removed. No need to have it and it helps lower the temp of the intake charge air…

Makes sense. Less plastic in the engine bay allows for more air flow and cooler temps. I’ve been removing engine covers and any unnecessary plastic in the engine bay on all vehicles I’ve owned after their bumper to bumper warranty has expired.

If you keep it off, do the gotts mod, and take the air silencers/ vortex fins out of your intake tube it’ll sound like a Cummins spooling up to take off to outer space and you’ll get about 27rwhp and 34rwtq

Is the gotts mod still a thing on the new intakes? Last I looked they were no restrictions going in to the 4th gen intakes. Not to mention it has been documented that the silencers make almost no statistical difference in power. One dyno test of it actually caused power loss. You are adding up numbers that can't be added together. You know it doesn't work that way...

I ordered engine cover from Ford Performance (KR7Z-6A949-A) and Nuts (W520201-S450B). It fits perfectly my Expedition XLT 2021.
