Moonroof issues

I have a 2000 EB Exped. and when I pressed the moon-roof button to open, it opened fine and then heard a loud "pop" from above and behind the roof opening. Now the moonroof will not retract. No operation at all when pressing the button. The "pop" sounded more mechanical than electrical. Any advice on how to proceed ?...

Tracks broke. Ours did that. Dealership is awaiting new unit now...$1100

thxs zombiesoldier-I had a mechanic look at it and manually close and disconnect the switch for $200. The $1100 estimate is right on with what the dealer wanted in our area. Thats getting close to 1/3 of the value of the entire vehicle. If I need fresh, I'll just roll down the windows in the future!
