Hi guys !!!

My name is Cris.

I am from Costa Rica living in New Jersey and being a member of this group for over 4 years searching reading and learning and this is my first post !!!!.

I have a 2002 Expedition 4.6 XLT A4WD with 173,153 miles and I want to replace the upper control arms, pitman arm, center link, tie rods and front wheel bearings.

These are my questions.

What is better?

Buy the bushings and ball joints and replace them or buy the complet upper arm?

Where is the best place to buy steering components?

I have been looking at places like Ebay where they sell all the components but I have no idea about the quality and at Rockauto.com

In advance thank you very much for the help and excuse my bad english.

Welcome to the forum

Just my opinion nut I would replace the complete upper control arm. No matter which route you take you will have to remove the control arm. The complete arm may cost more than just the bushings and ball joint but would require less labor.

Again my opinion and some will disagree but I like Moog parts. Check their web page for all the part numbers and then check Rock Auto and e-bay for the lowest prices you find

Also if your doing upper control arm/ball joints I would also replace the lower ball joints
Check your Stabilizer links and replace if needed

Hi guys

Thank you for the responses!! and yes is easier to replace the complete upper arm and definitely change the lower ball joints.

I have another question and it's about the camber bolts. In the pictures I think something is missing. The lock washer or something like that.
