Has anyone tried any of the navigation override wiring bundles for sale that allows programming on the move? They are for sale online and on Ebay. It allows you to program addresses while on the move and any other feature that is speed sensitive.

They'll work basically the same way, mine is hard drive based and yours is CD based. With the push of my Voice button I can access the POI-Address portion of the NAV for 1 minute. If my copilot doesn't get the info typed in quick enough I just access the button again for another minute. Can also have the DVD player play on the front screen while driving (I know, I know) so the co pilot can watch a movie or recorded tv show while on the road. I can also turn on the rear camera in case I've got a trailer so I can watch it to make sure I don't have any problems. Overpriced, yes, about a 100$ or so, but it's the best option for a stock DVD/Nav. Made by Coastaltech.com

Correct my 03 was CD based my 12 is HDD like your 12. I originally got your model year wrong I read 02 instead of 12. I seems that the control by the voice would not be hard to remember at all. I also pull a trailer with my bikes on it and would like to keep watch of straps and while on the go. It does seem way overpriced. It sure as crap beats the hunt and peck and spin with the joy stick of the old nav system that came with my 03 Expy. I really like the Sat travel link with real time radar on screen with hail and wind warnings. If I can get it to repeatedly, correctly download texts from my Galaxy Note II or my wife's Iphone5 I would be real happy camper.

I have no problem downloading my SMS messages from my Galaxy S3. Make sure you have MAP ticked on the setup menu on the phone page

I wish I could find that MAP to tick. It worked once on the Note II as has not worked in weeks. The IPhone 5 same way no luck. I have ticked everything I can find and have not seen a MAP so far.
