Need a center console for 2001Expy w/ bench seat

I just purchased a 2001 Expedition with a bench seat. Front storage is seriously lacking. Does anyone make an after market center console? I am hopeing to find something with a good fit and is functional too.

You mean one that will go atop your center section seat or one that will replace it?

I cannot remember...but is your front "bench" a true bench seat or is it 3 sections (40/20/40)?

It's a split 60/40. The drivers seat in as wide as a captains chair. I would prefer one that mounts on the floor vs. resting on the seat. I wish it was a 40/20/40, then I could remove the center section and install a scavenged console.

So what are you going to do? Put one in front of the seat? I've never seen something like that in production. Seen a few one-off custom jobs though. Ya good with fiberglass??

I see that this is a few months after the fact but I had the same deal. I wanted a center console. I just got an arm rest out of an f150 of the same year for ten bucks at a junk yard. has exactly what i needed a cup holder for my coffee and a storage compartment for all the other crap. good luck.
