Oops. You're correct. It wasn't you, but cmiles97 who posted this:

Unless you have money set aside for potential repairs as vehicles in general are getting very expensive to fix and Ford isn't Toyota in quality, I would recommend a Ford Factory extended warranty. It's called Ford protect. Any dealer can sell one. I bought mine online via Flood Ford. In the 3rd generation forum someone had one turbo replaced at 120K miles or so and it was over $3,000 (I think).

My apologies.

Appreciate it. At the end of the day, we’re all friends here.

How many years total warranty are you guys ending up with? In my situation, miles are sooooo low on our vehicles, time always comes first haha.

When the day comes that I can't afford to repair my vehicles, then that's the day I need to downscale. I don't have a mortgage, car payment, etc because I pay for everything when it's bought. Simply put, if I can't afford to repair my vehicle, then I won't buy it in the first place. Its just simple financial planning that most don't do these days....
I'm not saying any way is wrong, but thats my way....

Not a matter of paying cash or not... It's a risk evaluation exercise without the crystal ball that we'd all love to have. Some, myself included, assume we'll come out ahead with the extended warranty. Others have decided it's not worth it to them. Neither is wrong, just personal preference/risk evaluation.
