just picked up a 2000 expedition eddie bauer edition 4x4, for a svelt $1200!!!!
second expedition- first was a 2002 eddie, 4.6 4x2... great truck...

current rig is a 2009 f250 6.4psd completely decked out, and for sale once the eX is done.

I have some questions about the rig... engine has 200k on the clock and is likely tired though i've not compression tested or leaked it down yet.

it's white with bronze accents. just ordered some 20's for it with coop 285/50's wrapped on them, one of those kits w/ the wood grain panels that stick on the dash, weathertech mats all around, a touchscreen double din head set, and had it detailed.

curiously, there is zero rust and no dents... it has some scratches in the paint but that's about it. it cleaned up nicely.

i need info on engine swap... i'm turning just over 600hp and 1187# of tq in the superduty, and though i realize the gasser won't ever match tq, I'd like to get it around 450hp... boost will be involved.

so... off the the tech boards here (if I can find them).

howdy all!!!

Are you on Expedition Portal as well?

As far as your power goals, look into the Lightning supercharger swap. That's probably the only way you'll get close. Might want to check out a Ford Lightning (were the Harley's also supercharged???) specific forum. This forum is more or less on life support.

i fiddle with expedition portal at times.... never seen such a bunch of ninnies as is over there- dodge fanboys and for the love of all that's holy don't say anything against them... punch line: I've owned more dodges/mopars than any other brand, and i've likely built more motors and trucks than 99% of them there ...

i'm going a different direction with this build than i ever have before.... road pig/street rod. daily driver manners with a mean streak when boost is introduced.

i was looking at a bored mod 5.4 2v motor build for 375 crank HP with ported heads and bigger valves, some cam swapping, ect... and a procharger. with the intent to boost, the compression will have to be a bit lower than the 11:1 it's squeezing now (advertised static compression, no clue about dynamic w/o the cam card), which should land me somewhere in the 315~325 (hopefully) range before boost- and 10~14#'s of boost ought to get me where i want to be which is mid 4's at the wheel. i'm not opposed to turbo's, but there doesnt seem to be a lot of room to play with...

thank you, sir!

i'm learning quickly that the safest and simplest way to my goals is a stout set of rods and a supercharger.

soooooo.... roots or screw?

i still don't think there is much room for a turbo unless i do a remote turbo... that doesn't appeal to me, and is harder than just slapping a procharger or eaton crossing the valley...

i don't see a lot of traffic about transmissions here.... I tell you what I'd love to do, but i don't know if it will work as the blocks changed, but a 5R110w would be just plain nice- the one running in my superduty has behaved without flaw on stock internals (+ an additional remote baldwin on it that creates no pressure drop) and pushing some serious HP/TQ through it. I'm guessing the flavor in 2000 in an eXp was the 4R100? NV245 transfer case?

million leui question and sin because i could just look it up, but: are the PCM and TCM separate on these things? if so... doors just opened....
