2005 expedition 5.4 had the original motor blow cause of the cam phasers. It was replaced with a jasper engine came with a 3 year 100 thousand mile warranty. 1st motor made it just over 10 months and 9 thousand miles had a squealing that sounded like a belt..nope lower end bad out it came number 2 goes in. Have to pay for all fludis and gaskets. Month in a half and 1700 miles later got the death squeal again. Out comes number 2. don't have to pay for fludis or anything this time. Picked it up today drove it about 15 miles check engine light blinking and no power turn around and go back. Turns out to be misfire in cylinder 2..they replace plug and coil( all of them were replaced just 1700 miles ago) running Smooth all is well. Drive 25 miles home pull in the driveway ITS KNOCKING put it in gear it stops knocking. I let it sit for a hour no knock as Soon as it warms up starts knocking again but only in gear not in park. This will be the 4th jasper motor put in in 13 months anyone else run in to this? They have stood behind the warranty 3 times but this is ridiculus. Off to take it bck in the morning again another week with out my vehicl. Sigh

Wow! This is a new. Usually Jaspers are pretty good motors. Im guessing the shop is causing these problems, but I cant say that for sure. Im sorry to hear you're going through all this hassle. It sucks!

Google "Jasper engine reliability" and read the complaints for the common issues.
Seems like it is a roll of the dice with them.

How do their prices compare to a dealer installed crate motor?
