Hi all.
I’ve had my F150 for a while now, but the wife just joined the Expy club two weekends ago.
I plan on tinting the front, paint matching the chrome trim and grille, and putting on some black 22” factory wheels.
I joined up so I would have folks to bounce ideas/issue off of. Here is the new ride.

Welcome!

Now my pet peeve. The reason your front windows do not come tinted is that other drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians need to see if you have made eye contact and seen them at an intersection so you avoid killing them.

Really, don't tint the front windows.

But again, welcome.

Welcome to the forum, looks nice! Which options do you have on it?

Not sure of all the different package numbers and all, but it has nav, heated/cooled leather, etc. no pano, but our girls hate sunroofs...open roofs tangle their hair all up...
Tow package, etc, etc. my first goal is 22” wheels/tires. These 18’s are KILLING me. They look almost cartoonish with all the rubber.

You have a source on this claim?

Tinted front windows help a lot with the TX heat. Make sure your tint is within the legal limits.

Yes, personal experience. I get to an intersection and have no way to know it they are going to pull out in front of me. Might just be a fender bender in the car, but on my bike I could be toast.

Ah, anecdotal.

True, not based on any studies, but I can tell you, I and other cyclists dread meeting them at intersections. So for us it's VERY life and death real. Not so much for the person in the 3 ton metal vehicle.
I understand and sympathize with you. The way you made it sound was that there was some actual liability issue behind the no front tint thing though so that’s why I asked. It’s unfortunate that sharing the road is met with such hostility. I’ve seen open calls to ‘roll coal’ on cyclists on some of the local Facebook pages.... utter classlessness.

Another reason for no tint or very light tint is so that the cops can see you and make sure you are not the bad guy they are looking for and that you have your seat belt on. I bought a truck once that had very dark tinted windows. One of the first things I did was to peel it off and clean the glass with goo-gone.
