Hi All,
Just picked up a 98 Eddie Bauer to haul our toys with.
Traded my wifes Near MINT 96 Mustang GT convertible for it.
The Exped was supposed to be in excellent shape.

Just got thru swapping out the sunroof assembly with one from an 05 'cause the one in it had a broken track. 3 of the drain tubes were clogged too.
The power mirror switch was junk.
It has warped rotors.
The play station 2, dvd player/ rear video screen doesnt work either.
I don't even know where to start looking to fix that, it is an aftermarket set up.(any help would be greatly appreciated)
Haven't had the chance to check out the CD changer yet.

But on the bright side the body is in very good shape. suspension /tie rods ball joints/ u joinls etc all check out good, and it starts and runs good so far.
It has 193,000 on it is there any thing I should be worried about?

welcome aboard!!! were you able to get any records with the expy? if the trans hasnt been rebuilt that is going to be the weak link even more so since you will be towing. with that kind of miles i would change all the fluids and personaly i use full synthetic in everything. make sure you have the heavy duty towing package with tranny cooler. if you dont add one. good luck with it and post pics when you get a chance

Thanks,
No records with it, already did fluids and filters. Tranny fluid looked and smelled ok when I changed it.
We will be towing our Pontoon boat with it and it only weighs around 4000 lbs with trailer and gear. But I will most likely add the tranny cooler as extra insurance.
We actually pulled it with our Explorer and it pulled it fine other than in heavy cross winds it wandered some. So we figured the Expedition was heavier and would be more stable.
