I've been creeping the forum for quite some time and decided to join. :favorites37:

I've been out of town for two weeks for work training and havent had time to work on my expy. First off, I'm going to say its my starter. But I'm having some doubts.

Truck wouldnt start right away a few months back, cleaned the terminals and bought a new battery, started right up.

2 weeks ago (day before i left) My expy wouldnt start, it would only click once. when I would turn the key, the lights would dim, and the battery eventually died. Charged it up, still would only get a click out of the starter, then after letting it sit over night, battery died.

We put a good charged battery in it, and the lights wouldnt come on so we pulled it home. As we were pulling it home, the inside lights started to flicker since I didnt have the back door closed all the way.

Starter relay, alternator, starter, battery cables?
Something is draining my battery with a quickness

I'm going to mess with it in a few minutes after i run a few errands

Great link. I'll get to that later on today. I just crawled under the expy and their was a lot of corrosion on the starter. I'm going to clean that up and see if that helps

The only thing corrosion brings to the table is resistance to current flow. If your battery is going dead quickly it can happen from an internal short, problem in the alternator or a circuit staying closed when it is supposed to open.

The current draw on these vehicles when everything is "off" is in the milliamps.
