New Guy With a Question

What a great forum! I just bought a 2004 Eddie Bauer that is perfect except the rear leather seat (center panels) are FUBAR'd from the previous owner's car seats. They are all cracked and fugly!

What are my options to make this Expi like new again? I have been advised to just go to an auto upolstery (sp?) shop and get them to match the seat bottoms. I've looked on eBay and all they have is seat bottoms for the front seats for $200!

Would like to find a place that sells replacement OEM seat covers at a decent price. Thank you in advance!

first...welcome aboard. I have the same issue with my rear seat. its the center seat bottom. the light colored insert is as you described but the darker surrounding material is still in good shape. I have yet to find an OE seat cover for an EB only the LTD which have a solid color and they are darker. Aside from just pulling the seat and essentially ending up with captains chairs minus the armrests, we have 2 options:

1. junkyard
2. upholstery shop to replace the insert only

maybe someone else here has had success that can chime in?

this isnt a real big concern for me but I do want to correct it eventually.

one other thought is KAT SKIN covers for a bit of a custom look or stock your choice you would remove the leather skins from your seats then put on the KAT SKIN covers they fit great and hold up well. i had a set in a ford probe few years back... but the wife said it had to go

Thank you very much for the welcome. I think I am going to see what an upolstery shop can do. I want to look into getting a seat cover for the front driver seat as I want to preserve these as much as possible.
