Hello all, picked up a 1997 Expy with pretty low miles for cheap. It does have a few issues, but don't they all.
Anyway, I replaced the GEM and it fixed all the weird electrical issues I wAs having. Unfortunately I didn't get around to seal the windshield and it looks like I might need to do the job again.
Can I use dielectric grease on the connections and fuse box plugs?
Will standard Clear silicone (GE household type) work to seal everything once I find the leak?

Thanks in advance!

why would you replace the part without fixing the problem first?

I imagine you could use that to help add some water resistance but you NEED to get the windshield fixed before wasting any time on it

I didn't research the cause of the GEM failure, just jumped into it without getting all the facts. Thanks for the reply

If your still having the problem you can take a hair dryer and have it blow hot air on the gem/fuse block to see if that will dry things out Get the leaky windshield fixed asap to avoid future problems
