I have the avh_P3200BT installed in my 04. I love it, there were however, some minor dificulties mounting it. No installation kid would fit the odd shape of the unit, so modifying it is a must. Also, retian your original mounting hardware from the stock head unit as it will be nessasary to use. No harness was available when I did mine so I had to use a meter to be 100% sure. If you are comfortable installing it yourself, go for it. I did it myself because I trusted myself, only after did I find out that the shop I bought it from offers free installation. Had I known that I would have just let them do it to save the headache of installation and modification.
Good luck.

i had to make my own connector to keep the dvd. i did find one but it was 34.99 and between the two wrong ones the local store said i needed, i had every thing i needed. i removed the pins and inserted them in the correct location. everything went real smooth, between three different forums on the net and have a alldata subscription,

hey i just did a post on this not too long ago i put in a pioneer avic x920bt. The dash kit wont fit if you have the premium sound system/ Nav unit. well i should say it will fit there will just be a gap above ur headunit you can get a piece of plastic in there and make it look normal though. That or you can find a dash from the same year as ur expy just not with the premium sound in it. Just make sure it also has holes for all your nobs. Let me know how it goes

Glad it went well. Perhaps it was the dash kit from the local stereo store here which was not rite. They swear it was the rite one, and it did fit the hole fine, it was just the stereo was a tad bit taller than the surround so that when it was on the stereo, the top and bottom bowed out away from the stereo a little. Where did you pick up the dash kit? Rite now mine is looking a little tacky as I had to remove the whole bottom lateral piece to make it look desent.

I bought the xm reciever for my head unit, I understand you enjoy the protablility of your old unit. Did you know that you can also connect to xm on the internet and listen from any computer? I love to listen at work... makes the whole day better. I think there is like a 2.99 a month charge, but worth it in my opinion.

I have a rear entertainment system and am having a problem getting the headphones to work with the rear dvd. I can hear it over the speakers but would like to be able to listen to the radio while my kids watch rear dvds, I cannot get the headphones to work at all on the rear dvd. just trying to get it like it used to be where they can listen in the back and I can listen to what I want in the front. Any ideas? Its a 2004 eddie bauer, Thanks!!
