Hey Everyone,

Yesterday I traded my '07 Expedition EL Limited 4x4 (168000 miles, engine tapping) and upgraded to a 2015 Expedition EL Platinum 4x4 (Dealer Demo with 3700 miles). It's a nice truck and I really enjoyed the ride home, but I discovered some rust on the undercarriage that I'm a little worried about.

The rust is focused on what looks like non-coated steel parts connecting the wheels, and also on the drive train and muffler (and parts holding the muffler). I get the feeling most of this is okay, and even if not, there's not much I can do with the dealership now.

Does anyone have any tips? Should I be worried or just live with it, or get some kind of treatment for it?

Thanks! Glad to be among other Expy owners!

Sorry about the upside-down photos on a couple of those--you should still get the idea... thanks!

looks normal to me for the expeditions, my 13 had similar rust right off the transport. I wouldn't really worry about it either after looking at your signature, in two or three years that thing will have rust eating it from the inside out if it's ever driven in the winter. I used to live in MD and it sucked, they put some of the nastiest most corrosive stuff on the roads there.

Well the idea is to blast it then follow up with some corrosion prevention or paint...prob should've spelled it all out...my bad
