Hi everyone thanks for the add. My story. Since 97 I have owned a new one every 3yrs. My 2015 went back on lease 3weeks ago and with the price of a new one , I decided to test the waters on a used one. So I went with a 2008 5.4 with 130k on the clock. Since I have not had one with this miles, i was wondering what things I should be concerned about or have done. It seems to run great, but want to be proactive on the mechanical side.

Hi and glad you love expeditions all the way back to 97. The most common problems I have seen here are the Timing Chain, Phasers, Guides and Oil Pump on the 5.4 3V. Took them a couple of years to figure it out and fix the problems. Other than that, the engines are pretty much indestructible and the Truck itself is built like a tank. Life is a journey, the Ride is better in an Expedition.
