New Platinum first opinion minor issues

Just purchased a new space gray platinum and drove it to Canada and North Carolina within two weeks totaling 4,000 mi. First of all I love the vehicle and very comparable to Lincoln Navigator we traded in.

Minor issues / design opportunities: I don’t need a pop up reminder that blue cruise is available every minute leave the blue reminder on the screen. Top screen map interphase doesn’t work all the time and stays black. Pad charger doesn’t work with wife’s Apple phone (no case) very odd. Key fob doesn’t allow only top tailgate to open no matter how many times I program. Dealer visit to be scheduled.

Otherwise very smooth with good power and comfort on the trip. Gas mpg 19-23 closer to 19 at 85 and 23 at 70. Fit and finish impressive. Why buy a Lincoln unless you prefer different looks/image.

Overall pleased minus above issues that I hope will be fixed.

Front windshield blocks all RFID devices unless you put them in the one designated area. Annoying at the moment.

Congrats on your brand new Expedition. Did you felt any vibration at high speeds? Some users are reporting it. What tires came with your Expedition?

No vibrations we have the 22inch rims all season not sure on brand.

Users or user? Mine does not vibrate.

One person was vocal about it and traded their expy in for a escalade. Theirs was the ultimate with 24s. Doesn't seem like its an issue with the smaller wheels.

Oh yeah. No offense to him, but that’s a strange thing to do.
I just have a very hard time thinking ford is letting something so obvious as that go out the door and completely avoid the literal teams of new inspectors and auditors and QC that ford planned for this new model. A few here or there, sure could happen. And they are all here on this site to share?

Top screen map interphase doesn’t work all the time and stays black.

I've noticed the top screen map goes black when I have my iphone connected and am using Google Maps (not sure if it's an issue with Apple Maps) through CarPlay for directions. Kind of annoying, but I've gotten used to using the built-in Google maps on the home screen for directions to keep them on the top screen.

Apple Maps works really well; the top screen gives you your full route overview and the lower screen gives you the close-up, turn-by-turn...or you can swap them if that's your jam.

Tested Apple Maps and I’ll be damned, it does work pretty well, I really like the two different map views. But it also makes it even more confusing that google maps doesn’t work the same way seeing as it’s the built in maps app?!? The top map goes black with a short “map source not supported” message. Hopefully something Ford, Google, and/or Apple can fix with a software update.

I wish i was in the market for a 2025 Expy! My 2022 Platinum and 2023 Limited MAX have less than 65k miles on them.
