Hi all. Just picked up a 2004 white 2WD 5.4 liter in Wichita, of a Buick dealers lot. 92K miles, and looks NEW inside and out. For less than 10K, it is a great replacement for my Hemi Durango which is completely rotted out.

Really was not even planning on buying it, I was out there on business, and had an airline ticket in my pocket for the next day home back to upstate NY, but I saw it, and 45 minutes later I owned it. Long drive home, but it was comfy (and a little thirsty - but I knew that)

So some questions. I have a boat that weighs about 6K pounds. The 2WD has me a little worried on the boat ramp. Anyone pull boats out with 2WD models?

The spark plug issue scares me a little worried, but the truck is running great - although sometimes a hard starter - it has to crank for 10 seconds when hot.

How hard to is it to change the bulbs in the window switches? Is the switch for the rear view mirror supposed to light up?

Definitely need to change out head unit with a blue tooth one.

I assume that since it has the trailer hitch and 7 pin connector, it has the heavy duty tow package? I sure hope that is correct, but it was running about 2K rpm at 70 MPH.

Oh also, the power pedal adjuster only moves the pedals about 1/4" , is that normal?

i dont know about pulling 6k lbs...i dont pull but a lot of ppl do on here so get ready

the hard start...change the CoPs (coil over plugs) and get the 100K mile maintenance (fuel filter...transmission change...CoPs...and a few other things)...i would also change the alternator...thats about when mine went out on me and a few other ppl...its 8yrs old...so get new alt/battery...if the starter is fine then you dont have to worry about that...so basically change/upgrade the big 3 (get stronger/better battery) and the 100K maintenance and that will set you up for success and prolong life for your truck

idk how easy it is to change the lights in the window switches for you but there are a few ppl who have done it...seems there is wirring involved and soldering...i want it done to and actually bought the LEDs for it

Switch for rearview mirror? are you talking about the indicator light for the auto dimming rearview mirror? if so, it may have been replaced...i swapped mine as it broke some kind of way and they replaced it with a auto dimming mirror with no indicator

head unit...Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, LCD TV, Digital Cameras is a good source to find out what fits and what options are out there then you can search the internet for cheaper pricing...i'm bias towards crutchfield because they give lifetime support/wiring harnesses/how-to manuals for every customer...even if you have a question when comparing...call or chat online with them...SUPPER EASY/FRIENDLY

that ends my expert knowledge...i have no clue for towing and tow package

it should move more than a 1/4"

Welcome! I put mine in 4Low to get our boat out of the water, (5000 lb boat + 1000 lb trailer). But it will depend on the steepness of the ramp, and how much algae growth is on it. I could probably get it out in 2wd, but I would spin the tires all the way up. When I tried it the first time and they initially spun, I just stuck it in 4Low, (and have ever since).
