New to me 2008 EXPY EL Limited

hello there, just pulled the trigger on a 2008 Expedition EL Limited, all options except power boards with about 85k.

Bought it to replace the 04 xlt with 189k rockers were rusted out and didn't want to deal with it anymore.

Picking her up in the next day or so. Any problem area's I should be aware of? Most of these seem to last so hoping to see 200k miles out of her

Also question probably has been asked a 1,000 times but I can't seem to find an answer can I convert my 2nd row bench to captains? The mrs. would like a path in the center so no navi console. Do I need to find some new chairs or can I pull the center seat and install arm rest? We have three little one's so would like to separate them a bit

I have an 08 XLT. Only issue so far is the driver seat track needing to be replaced under warranty. A couple people have swapped to captains chairs on here. I think the holes are there. You just need to find the seats.

The seats are the same so you could just remove the middle seat. You will need to get a floor mat that covers the holes in floor.
Rumor has it that the holes are in the seat to mount the armrests but I'm not sure about the pin that acts as stopper when the armrest is all the way down.

Like RI-Matt said, you can just take out the middle seat. just put a mat in between the seats to cover the holes. its easy to do.

Parasitic current draw ~ rear wiper motor issue

I have 08' Expedition EL for about 3 years now... runs great but just had an issue with something killing my battery last two nights in a row. Rear wiper motor seems to be the cause. I have a friend that clued me into this issue on theirs. I pulled fuse #19 in interior fuse box today. Going to see if this is truly the issue. Just keep an eye out as it must be a known issue with that rear wiper motor.

My captain's seats arrive in next three days or so.

is it easier to just swap them out completely or just swap out the seat backs? I am a novice so just making sure Thanks My seats are mint but the wife wants arm rests etc.
