Hello everyone! So we got rid of our 2011 Expedition that we owned for 7 years, and bought a low mileage 2019 XLT Max. I'm looking for any info on upgrading the halogen headlight bulbs. They are terrible. I've read and seen many people run hikari led bulbs. Any info is very much appreciated!

Headlight Revolution… they have many choices. All types of bulbs for just about any application. Nice warranty options as well.

Actually, I have a set of their bulbs in my 2016 Expedition… I’m very happy with them. Been in my truck since 2017. Replaced once for no cost under warranty.

And yes, halogen options suck. Especially when you’re used to LED’s and you have to switch back to halogens for one reason, or another like I had to do while waiting for a warranty replacement.

Thanks for the info. Did they cause any problems like error codes? Also, do they perform well in halogen housings? I've run LED's before in our 2011 Expy and the light pattern was terrible.

I had Katana brand and I just upgraded to Hikari bulbs few weeks ago. I honestly think the Katana has better output than Hiraki. My old Katata bulb lasts a little bit over 2 years and one of the LED burned out. I can't say much about the longevity of Hiraki since I just installed them on my 2019 XLT.

Just yesterday I swapped out the halogen lo/hi/fog bulbs in my 2019 XLT Max with a set of Auxito LED's. Everything seems to be functioning normally - DRL, auto hi beam, etc.
I had previously upgraded the lo from stock Sylvania halogen bulb to a "high performance" Osram halogen bulb which provided a little brighter beam initially but seemed to have faded during the year since.

I believe headlight revolution is the same company as Morimoto and xenon depot. All of it is a awesome company and there warranty is amazing. I’ve had xenon depot in my Chevy truck and wife’s Tahoe currently running morimoto in my f350 and Nissan cargo van. Just saying… you get what you paid for..

My question about the morimoto’s, did you have to install anti-flicker harnesses? I want to install GTR’s on everything. I put them on my F250 and my wife told me last night that the lights flicker. (With the harness)

Just curious if I actually need them or not for this 2019 XLT Max???

Can't say much on your inquiry but wanted to say I bought a low mileage 2015 and was able to get an extended ford warranty and just renewed it again. Lombard ford in CT.
