Thanks to everyone for the opinions/advice on my recent questions with wheel upgrades. I finally decided to go with 22"s. They should be here Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait! Like a kid before Christmas!!!

Thanks. I wasn't looking for "bling" which it seems is the only thing available these days. I'm doing a blackout theme eventually (painting my tan trim, etc) with no chrome. I just didn't want to do black wheels too. Need some contrast!

Looks great reminds me of like something steeda or saleen would use in a muscle truck build. You gonna lower it with those:confused:

Eh, not into the whole lifting thing. For a daily driver anyways. I could see if I had a Jeep or a truck that I went offroading in, yeah.....

i agree with the blacking out. that is why i kept my bumper and my nerf bars....for some contrast. plus ive been blacking out my interior as well.

i like them too. plain and simple. and who gets 44s with 22s? u get 44s with 15s. looks like dimes for rims. funny in the desert. idk why i laugh when i see those trucks. sry off topic. but i like them. will look good with your truck. and its good to have contrast. black is good but ive seen some trucks and cars where its to much. a little silver or chrome or any other color is better then all black.

i'll plan on getting a f150 down the road with a slight lift and 22's...but i'm all about the chrome...nothing flashy...little style...still simple....

Hhhhmmmmm.....

OK, so I got the wheels on the Expy last night. Couldn't take pics (too dark). Must say, not what I was expecting. Don't know if I'm just having buyer's remorse, or if I don't like them. Kinda like a hot chick you see at a bar- you get all worked up about her, then you get her and it turns out to be "not all that".
I didn't research the backspacing of this model wheel enough. They stick WAAAAYYYY out from the wheel wells. OK, I admit, much of the problem is my own fault. I bought a set of rims based mainly on price, then on looks , knowing that they have a different bolt pattern and would require adapters. I knew they would stick out some, but I had no idea it's be this much. Not sure if I'm going to keep them or not....

But, a set of 22"s in good shape shod in Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico tires that have 80% of their tread left for $850 is a steal. So, I guess I should be happy. Maybe I can find a new set of wheels and transfer the tires, and sell the MODA R7's........

the reason they stick out is because they are probably a +10/+25 mm offset which is considered a low/medium offset and the 03 expedition is a +44mm factory. then you add a whole inch and a half with the adapter you change the offset to a +0/-12.. which would stick out badly and would probably rub. what is the bolt pattern of the wheels? do you adapters which bolt to the car or spacers?

--Head is spinning....greek to me. Probably how/why I wound up in this position anyways. Like I said, saw something I liked, didn't think it through 100% I guess.

Anyways....trying to upload pics....

well....they stick out like offroad tires do. so yes, they do stick out a little too far. just my opinion. my 35's dont eve stick out that far on my truck, at least not with my 18x9 rims. now when i have my 16x10s on, that is about how it looks...
