I purchased the washer fluid concentrate from Nextzett called Kristall Klar and I have to say it is great stuff. It's super convenient to be able to just add 20ml (~1.5 tablespoons) to a gallon of water. Now I just pour the concentrate into the washer fluid reservoir as I am filling with my hose. They actually advise you not to use distilled water as it makes it more prone to streaking.
~$20 and makes 55 gallons of washer fluid so <$0.40 per gallon.
It is quite soapy and really gets the junk off of the windshield nicely. No blade chatter or nasty film like some of the other products I've used that build up. Smells like a citrus citronella.
The only downside is that it doesn't have any freeze protection so for me this is a Spring to Fall solution.
