I have a 1997 exped 5.4L. no heat in cab. I just replaced the thermostat (cheapest, quickest), water pump (5 fins broken off, 3 others folded over), and radiator (slight leakage at top corners) to no avail. Cooling system will not pressurize, but does hold pressure with a tester. Also new radiator cap. Thanks for help!

bbrown, look at the passenger head in the rear corner. I bet you will find that you are loosing coolant there. It is common for our motors to develop leaks there. If you are not loosing it there, then I would pressurize the system and see where you have fluid leaking out. If it is not leaking on to the floor, then you are loosing it internal to the motor (if this is the case, DO NOT!!!!!! attempt to start the motor until you clear all the fluid out first). If you are getting coolant into the motor, then you either:
1) have a bad head gasket and it needs replaced, or
2) you have been living with a leak for some time now and you filled the coolant system with too much straight water and with the cold temperatures, you have more than likely cracked a head and/or block.
