My trans started up shift slipping a month ago. I just tried turning the OD off and the trans is not slipping at all with it off.

The trans was rebuilt 14k ago. Since I'm not getting any lights when it slips I'm wondering if replacing the solenoid pack would clear it up?

could be an engine miss, it feels like a tranny slip in 3rd and 4th gears because they're the closest to direct drive

probably a COP going bad... with taking OD off the truck is running a different RPM range and tricking the COPs... as Panda said... ask me how I know.... I did this for a week or two before figuring out which COP was going bad...

Not to side track the thread or anything but- I have an intermittent COP dying only when I first startup at 6:30 in the morning, it works fine after about 20 seconds, however I'm getting a constant slip like feeling and kick in and out of OD at low speeds. It would make sense that the big rpm drop into OD would cause a misfire if the COP was going bad- SO my question is how to figure out which one is intermittently going bad..... I have only one spare brand new one.

usually you can look at the top of the COP for any crack or line... there is also a way to test with a volt-meter but i'm not sure.. might wanna ask THERMO
