Yes, the time has come, the first $5000 takes the truck. The truck is being sold as 1 piece, so, please, no questions about will I just sell the tires, the lift, etc.

97 Ford Expy XLT, 5.4L motor (all 8 plug holes Timesert'ed to prevent any future blowouts) with the 3rd row seat. The intake has been ported (light) and then polished. Heads have also had the same port/polish treatment done to them. E-fans installed, modified air box, true dual exhaust with a Flowmaster 70 DIDO muffler running 2.5" pipe all the way. Custom stereo installed with dual 10" subs mounted inside the back corners of the truck (takes up no cargo space) pushing 300 W RMS. Smittybuilt nerf bars have been installed with the mounting holes reinforced with nuts welded on to the frame. The truck has been lifted with additional modifications to allow 37x12.5" tires to be used on 16x8 Ultra Claw rims. The gears have been swapped out with 4.56 gears front and rear to restore the gearing to something appropriate. Speedo has been recalibrated and is now off by 0.6%.

Anyone that knows this truck knows that a lot of detail has been put into it to make everything work flawlessly. There are more modifications that have been done to the truck, but I could write a book on that. If you are after something that is one of a kind, this is the truck. The lift/tire combination is enough to turn heads. Add in the body stuff that I have done and you have something that lots of people will be asking about.

That's too bad unless your building something new, then understandable. But you should stay on this site...

If I knew you were selling your truck about 3 months ago I would of bought it in a heart beat... now I am really wishing I wouldn't of bought my truck. Well good luck with the sale, I can tell you who ever buys it will be getting more than they can imagine.

I am contemplating a few different "projects" at the moment. Unfortunately, non of them are Expy's. The nearest is an F-150 (bagged, dropped roughly 5/7, remotely controlled tail gate, infrared front camera, digital camera side mirrors, and other "goodies"). But, I am also looking to trade in my Jaguar X-Type and upgrade to a Jaguar XK or XFR. But then, I also have an itch for a Lotus Elise.

We'll see. Where I live there aren't many places to 4x4 and where you can is either illegal to do so or is over 200 miles away (makes for a long push home). So, the Expy isn't what I need any more (not to mention all the kids are gone, so, it is just me and the wife).

We'll see. I also see a possible need in my near future for an F-350, but that is a different story all in itself. Granted, to do what I am really wanting, probably should be looking at an F-450 or even an F550. He he he he he he.

Yes, I will still hang with you guys. I have invested 15 years with the truck. Not like I can give up an addiction like that overnight. LMAO.

Freeway, it is bliss. Granted, it is a lot more fun because I get to spoil the two grandkids ((7 and 1) too. I spoil them rotten. Gotta love being a DINK. Get the wife back to work and I will be a TINK. I can't wait. Life is good with having a military retirement and working another job.

If all the kids are gone and your grandchild is 7, you guys like to start EARLY.

sgtowing, lets just say that I don't like to be number 2. Granted, that also tends to explain why I know what I do and why I know all that I do know. I'm sure I surprise you guys at times with some of the "useless" knowledge I have to share.

mindgame, yes, for 3 years nukie cruised around Oahu. Granted, most of that time was on 35's, but there was a few months it was on the 37's. The ohana there from the FTW group were a bunch of great brudahs. So, if you can hook up with them, I think you will find that group to be very helpful. Stevee runs a Ford high performance shop there on Oahu (over near Waipahu). Another member ran a body shop near the corner of Mapunapuna Street and Kaihulapu Street. I'm sure if you can find these guys and ask them about the navy guy that had the lifted green expedition, they will remember me. I did a lot of wheeling up at Kaena Point.
