bought an OBD 2 today hoping to diagnose my intermittent no start issue. My ABS light has been on for months now, through the obd i was able to erase it..the light went off but when i unplugged the scan tool my truck will not start. any thoughts around that issue. Also if i was having electrical issues would the OBD 2 even give me code? no other codes showed up but this one C 1095 (ABS)

Ah, a good mental problem to think on.

Most scan tools are simple read only scanners with limited control beyond clearing codes and turning off the cel.

The one thing that comes to mind is did you unplug the scanner while it was communicating with the pcm?
If not what else did you do?
Is the theft light blinking rapidly?

Also more info on "not start". Spins over but won't run, won't spin over etc.
