OEM dvd audio system

I just bought a 2006 Expedition Limited and I have notice that when a dvd is inserted and is playing the sound is hard throughout the vehicle including the oem headphones. Is there a way where the dvd player can be played and say the cd player or the radio can be played/used at the sametime.

if i am not mistaken the OEM stereo cannot decipher two seperate sources...

The factory radio can play dual mode with rear seat passengers using headphones to listen to a media source ( DVD, CD, Radio etc...) while front seat occupants listen to something else.

Note there will be no sound coming from the rear speakers while in dual mode.
