Hi all,
Bought a 2000 Expy last spring, just signing up here now (yeah, I know... i'm slow LOL).
I have owned a blown 99 Mustang GT and a 2003 F150 5.4l in the past. Tore down the 4.6 to replace broken pistons way back when -- so I'm at least initiated on the blue oval mod motor
Bought my expy with 121k miles on it -- sitting at 136k now. So far I have had 1 coil pack fail, changed what looked like orig. spark plugs (yes, with my inch-lb torque wrench in hand), serpentine belt, alternator, cd player, upgraded headlight bulbs, aftermarket DVD TV.
By the way, ordered granatelli coil packs from jegs as a set to just replace all 8... every single one of the granatellis that I bought failed within 5k miles... stay away LOL.
My rig still ain't perfect, but runs like a champ and is hella comfy on those long uh "expeditions" LOL
