only starts when it wants to

hello,i have a 1998 expedition/4.6 it will run for weeks at a time, and run great with no chk.engine lights at all.. i am having a problem with it not starting ONLY after it sits over nite..it may start everyday for a week,month,or two,,i just never know..and it may last an hour,a day,week,and then it will start.. it turns over fine,plenty of power,,it just wont start!! I have replaced one of the coil packs that was cracked,and cam censor,,cause it threw the code..when it starts, it runs and drives great..i just never know if its going to run today or not,and rite now its NOT! does anyone have any ideas?? we really need a dependable vehicle..thanks

I have went out to see if i can find something obvious,,still cant..but what i have discovered is that i have no spark..as i have said ive replaced one of the coil packs..id hate to spend another 50.00 just to have the same prob..can anyone tell me what tells the coils to fire or not to?? help please this thing is driving me nutts!!!

Look on ebay for cheaper COPs. You can get all 8 for a little more than 100 bucks. Search for Uneek Supply or Global.

You said you don't have check engine lights now? Did you have them before, and for what?
