KBR otherwise known as Kellogg Brown and Root purchased hundreds of 2003 Ford Expedition XLT 4X4's to issue out to there contractors that are over here supporting the War. I had a chance to speak to several of the contractors in reference to the performance of the Expeditions. Below is some comments that was said.
1. The air filter needs to be changed every two months
2. The Cont tires that comes standard does no good in the sand (need to get a wider tire)
3. There was a sensor that had to be replaced often due to sand and dust getting under the cover.
4. Overall i am being told the Expedition Performs well above it Exceptations. ( i'll take some pictures of how dirty these 2003 expeditions are and try to get a few more comments.) Also I've been in iraq going on 11 months and i've been seeing some of the same expeditions for the last 7 months.

The air filter and tires aren't inferior to other makes and models, if you use any SUV in the sand, you're going to have to change the air filter more frequently, and upgrade tires for better traction. Looks like the only thing Ford needs to improve is the sensor cover, which should be a easy fix.
