Opinions on struts w/ integrated springs?

Looking to possibly replace shocks/struts in the rear of my '03 XLT. It's got the coil over shocks (or struts, not sure which one they are). Don't have a spring compressor, so I'm interested in the new shocks that have the integrated springs as part of them, like the new ones from Monroe quick-struts. Has anybody used these before? How do they hold up on our beasts?
