I'm ordering a 2019 Limited. I'm getting everything at Dealer Cost plus the $1000 current rebate. If the rebate or any ford offer gets better between when I order and I receive I get the greater of the two. I'm pretty happy with that. Should I be?

I ordered back in August and we agreed on dealer invoice less half of the holdback--which in the case of your Limited, ought to add up to slightly more than $1K under invoice. On top of that you will also get any current incentives. There were none when I ordered, but by the time it came in, there was one for $500. I guess it all depends on how greedy your dealer is because they will get this vehicle delivered and receive your payment before it costs them one cent in flooring charges. I could have obtained an X-Plan PIN, but this deal was better...even with paying higher doc fees than what is specified with X-Plan.

@ the time of purchase. So if that $1000 rebate is still around, great. If it increases to $1500, even better. But for some reason if its gone, well, it sounds like you left some money on the table if the dealer is willing to "cover it"...

Ford does regional offers and promotions. Based on my ZIP code, I don't see a $1K rebate on 2019 Expedition Limited. I see a $1K loyalty bonus (PGM#38836) if you trade a certain Ford AND finance thru FoMoCo Credit at their less than fantastic rates. That offer, which is a frequent flyer that probably will auto renew, expires 1/2/19. Also see $500 cash back (PGM#13340) on 2019 Limited, also expires 1/2. Then the long in tooth $500 military/first responded/recent graduate.

Devils always in the details. You'll note the fine print at the bottom of all rebate offers. Something along the lines of must take retail delivery from a dealers stock by DD/MM/YYYY. So one must wonder... is your special order really dealer retail stock? My last couple of ordered vehicles have the words "customer order" right on the window sticker. Years back they had my last name. I understand now the Monroney sticker is green as opposed to blue. So Ford knows whats retail stock and what isn't.

A rebate should be available on both an ordered or stock vehicle. It is the rebate in effect on the day of delivery.
