Does anyone know how to tell if the transmission removed from an expedition is the factory installed transmission? We purchased our car new, we know the service history, but we took our expedition to a mechanic to replace the transmission (car was out of warranty). He says he replaced it....it was still bad....we took it to the dealership and when they took it out, they say it is not a new transmission, but not sure how to tell if it an original one or a "junk yard" one and they aren't sure how to tell.
