I had codes 0171 and 0172 running lean on bank 1 and 2 appear, two days later my battery dead. I jumped the expedition off, changed fuel filter, and cleaned mass air flow. Nothing worked to reset the DTC. Took the expy to the dealer they stated I had a weak battery and my fuel pump was about gone. Stealership wanted $750 to replace fuel pump. I will do it myself for that price. Any way I went ahead and changed the battery. How long for the PCM to show up the DTC's again or could the weak battery contribute to the fuel pump not operating properly. The vehicle is and was running fine except for the codes and gas mileage. Any input appreciated.
